Ajanta

The Ajanta caves are believed to have been constructed around 200 BCE, the caves were abandoned after the 7th century CE, and they are full of beautiful paintings, many of the paintings depict the life of Buddha, as well as his previous incarnations, known as Jatakas. In recent time Ajanta’s paintings are very rare, so I tried to show when the Ajanta’s paintings were created at that time’s Color Combinations, Line drawings, Figure Proportion, Decorative sense, Craftsmanship done by people of that century. During my research on Ajanta caves paintings I visited Ajanta caves 19 times from 1980 to 2003, and studied details of the paintings, drawings, and color tons, during my research period I found that in the Ajanta’s paintings, the high color ton and dark color ton is visible, but the middle ton is missing and destroyed, and without middle ton of the paintings it’s not shows real feel of the paintings which was created in that century.
